The location is beautiful, just a short drive from the forest of bowland. The staff were cute and even upgraded us to a larger room. Dinner was fantastic, with plenty of wine choices. We really enjoyed the decor in our room and the super shower with nice toiletries.

I stayed here for a night with my partner and we loved being just a few steps from St Peter and St Paul's Church, made our morning stroll so special. The parks nearby were perfect.

Achieved a perfect family getaway with excellent hospitality. The amazing rainfall shower provided an excellent experience, fitting even my tall partner. Dinner was good, and breakfast in the lovely dining room featured homemade granola and exquisite poached eggs. Breakfast service was a bit slow, and we left wishing for higher-quality bacon.

Consider asking for a room away from the bar for a quieter stay, as noise can be a factor.

    rainfall shower
    great dining
    cute staff
    missing door
    mattress comfort

The decor in my room felt charming and cute. The rainfall shower was a highlight. Breakfast was a standout too, with homemade granola and perfectly poached eggs. The food quality during dinner was excellent. The staff definitely. They were friendly and accommodating. There was no door on the bathroom, made privacy a little awkward. Plus, the mattress felt a bit tired, not the most comfortable for a good night's sleep. The location is fine, right in a pretty little village, but those little details could use some attention.

The en-suite double room featured modern design with an attractive open layout. The central location put us just a short walk from charming local shops and eateries, made exploring easy and enjoyable.

The lack of privacy in the en-suite was a bit off-putting, as it had clear glass doors that left little to the imagination when it came to bathroom breaks. The toilet window directly faced the road and village green. For elderly guests, I noticed that a grab rail in the bath/shower could provide extra safety, but I appreciated that the new landlady is on it for future improvements.

Family with children will enjoy this place

We had dinner one night and the whole family was impressed with the quality, it was so good my kids couldn't stop talking about that delicious dessert. The staff were friendly and the rainfall shower was very nice, even my towering partner didn't have issues fitting in, it seemed like a luxury experience.

It wasn't inexpensive but still manageable for what we got.
